The Maxson Organization
Families surviving Autistic Affliction with the help of other families
As parents of a recently diagnosed Autistic child, we felt devastated
and alone.
We don't any longer. WE ARE NOT ALONE! It took a lot to realize that. There
is support out there for us all.
Starting with online groups there are many stories to read. Thank God we have public exposure and hope due to the fine work of Jenny McCarthy and everyone else at Generation Rescue. (http://www.generationrescue.org/). The information is boundless with sites like The Autism Society of America (http://www.autism-society.org), www.autismspeaks.org/ , www.autism.org/ and so many others.
Yet the greatest sense of relief is found locally. Friends, Family, and local caring professionals are how we see Families surviving Autistic Affliction, with the help of other families!
Maxson is a federally Recognized 501.c charitable organization that is dedicated to helping families survive autistic affliction together. One of our first goals is setting up grassroots Mommy and Me type sessions where families can get together, share resources, successes, and hope.
We are currently looking for a local facility that will allow us to do that in a safe, familiar environment whereby we can help overcome the isolation and feelings of being trapped and unique, that we first felt before we realized we could not, and did not, have to do this alone.
Please help us share the support and give lives back to so many families that can get through this with our help.
